    mindboggling.

carbon nano tec is the key to the construction of earths first orbital elevator

i mean this guy seems like he cant afford to buy a long rope of nano tubes and build that crane and buy a truck to do it so he’s just demonstrating how strong it is.. nano tubes is probally stronger then spider webs we’ve been trying to get that forever and we finally have something that is of use instead of spider ass.

  12. 903harman says:

its just demonstrating it could do that with a real one..

  13. DeleriosoAnormal says:

Why hasn’t this been on the news? Was it a secret??

oh no string cant lift that much at all

  18. dhanwantri says:

Dont tell me you did not know. You use a nano-tube needle. Get them at your nearest craft store.

  19. Firrox says:

    Very carefully.

  20. fernerocks says:

i think its a metaphor or something saying that the nanotube(string) will be so strong that a single rope of it will be strong enough to lift a truck(toy) up

    I peed a little laughing :)

  22. dlobrown8888 says:

A single-walled nanotube is about 30 GPa and whereas steal wire is about 1 GPa. I mean wow – a single-walled nanotube of 30 GPa is basically a long molecule that can suspend a 1000 ton payload elevator into space!!!!

  23. curiousjoe2007 says:

Is that nanotube thread? How you stitch those little tiny particle together?

  24. PattyMMelt says:

    Wall-E !!!!

Dude it’s a fucking toy why is this supposed to impress? I gave you 1 star rating.
